We picked the hotel for location and value. It had a fridge and microwave. Bed was comfy but sheets very basic. The complaints: the latch on the bathroom was broken and my husband got locked in, and the windows were very drafty so needed extra blankets. Good news: Maintenance came immediately to fix the lock; they brought extra blankets as soon as we asked.

Hotel was in a walkable & convenient area in Center City Philadelphia. Friendly staff. Small room but comfortable bed. The Cons: low water pressure that went from hot to cold. Low pressure water trickled down from shower head sprinkler. Complimentary breakfast was disappointing. Lacked variety. Surprised it didn’t even have eggs (boiled or scrambled).

I was excited to visit Philadelphia for the first time. Overall, there not much wrong with the hotel, physically, but there were a lot of little things that just made this stay really awful for me. 1) there is no on site parking. The valley parking attendant told me $66/ night, but when I went to get my vehicle, I was charge $90. 2) The complimentary breakfast is appreciated if you like rubbery scrambled eggs and tasteless sausage. 3) the in room coffee service was never correct. On arrival I had decaf only. Notified the front desk and the next day, nothing changed. Notified the front desk again, then I got regular but they didn't leave any cups. 4) the bathroom for locked me out of the bathroom. They fixed it quickly though. 5) my conference was going to end a day early, so I asked if there was any penalty for checking out a day early. I was told no. Then when I went to check out, I was told that I was still going to be charged for the day not used. I'm still waiting on a resolution from Expedia if I'll get reimbursed that final day. Some of these complaints seem petty but when you add them all up, it was not a good visit for my first time in Philly.

This property offers quite a bang for your buck. I needed a room for two nights last minute and Fairfield inn far exceeded my expectations for the price point. While I only had fruit and bottled water, the free breakfast had a lot of options and the food was fresh and area was clean. The fitness area was nice and clean. My room was clean and I did not need housekeeping my entire stay. For a small room, it had everything I needed - I was even surprised to see a microwave! The staff were all friendly and I loved how walkable the area was. I plan to stay here again.

The front desk staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, ensuring our stay was as comfortable as possible. The room was impeccably clean throughout our visit. I will definitely recommend this hotel to others!
