The room was dirty and run down. Water stains were running down from the ceiling. The curtains were filthy and there was no hot water running from the shower even as I left the water running for 20 minutes. The parking lot is challenging at night since non-guests can park there as well. The front desk team was very polite. I had just a 1 night stay for a funeral, so I bit the bullet and stayed. However I would not stay at this hotel again. The lobby is nice but that is where it stops. It should be reassessed and downgraded to 1 star.

We had a pleasant stay overall at the Wyndham Historic District hotel in Philadelphia. The staff was extremely nice, welcoming, and helpful, which truly made a difference in our experience. The main shared areas—especially the lobby and lounge—were clean, modern, and well-maintained, creating a great first impression upon arrival. However, the biggest downside of our stay was the room itself. While functional, the room felt very outdated compared to the refreshed and stylish common areas. The contrast was noticeable, and the room could definitely benefit from modern updates to match the rest of the property. Overall, this hotel is a solid option for location and service, but guests should be aware that room upgrades are needed to elevate the experience.

The room was great. The location is great. The staff were excellent. The only negative was the poor service at the restaurant. Two of the four meals I ate at the restaurant I had to wait a ridiculous amount of time to get seated and get my food.
