This was the most frightening hotel experience of my life! I was not informed I would have to park my car in a parking deck which was two blocks away at 10:00 PM! I had to double park my car to register at the hotel since the hotel put cones in the street to block anyone from parking. I took my bags to the room and was shocked. My room certainly did not look like the room on the website! The furniture was old and with scratches. The television was ancient with one channel (ION). Afterwards, I had to drive two blocks to park my car. When I attempted to walk from the parking deck to the hotel, I was approached by two homeless men (at different times). The first man asked me for a dollar. I told him I didn’t have any money. He walked past me. However, when I turned around he had changed directions and was walking behind me. I ran from him for a half block until I was approached by another homeless man. I started running again, past a homeless woman sitting in the doorway of a store. When I made it back to the hotel, I removed my coat and realized the room was freezing. Since there was no thermostat, I couldn’t adjust the temperature. When I attempted to take my medicine, I saw there were no cups or glasses. The mattress was of a very poor quality. The ceiling fan had extremely bright lights with long chains to turn the light and fan on and off. There was no outlet by the nightstand to charge my phone-just an old click radio. The wall of the closet was uneven and was painted over
