Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
Before booking your stay, know that it is located in one of the roughest areas in Phoenix. Lots of drug activity and prostitution around this hotel. It is a few steps away from a dispensary. There is a Super 8 motel next door There are people actually living in some of the units. We were warned by several Uber drivers to not go out at night.
Our room had a very nasty smell, quite difficult to describe, combination of old smoke, dirty rag, exhaust, old pipes, musty. The bedspread had stains on it but the sheets and pillowcases looked clean. The toilet seat had stains and cigarette burn marks.
With that said, I think the staff try to do what they can to get their job done. Front desk late at night (checked in at 10:30 pm after a late flight) was nice, security offered to walk us to our building. Cleaning lady knocked and offered to clean the room the following day. Most of the property if fenced off --iron fence that's not very tall but possibly helps with safety.
