This hotel likely had not been stayed at in at least a year. The owner was also not aware we were coming after we had made the Expedia booking. He was very kind and made it work, but this hotel, as well as the entire neighborhood around it, is completely run down and looks as if the town was shut down a decade ago. All the surrounding buildings are overgrown by the jungle, boats are half sunk into the lake, no restaurants open except two a long walk away and it appears it's only for locals and not open very often. They looked shocked to see tourists.
