A perfectly nice hotel, but not really a 5 star service. For example, there was nothing set up for my daughter (4) despite it being on the booking through Expedia. No turndown service. No one handing out towels at the pool or beach, or tidying them up after use. Nothing terrible, but just not quite a 5 star service!

We had a fantastic stay at Marriott Merlin Beach. Staff were nice and attentive. Quick response to our requests. Good activities planned throughout the day for kids and adults plus live music/shows. Room was nice and clean with comfortable beddings. Food quality and variety was very good.

This resort runs amazingly. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We got married at Merlin Beach and Food Manager Pinto went far and beyond for our romantic dinner on the beach. Food was delicious every time. We did the all inclusive and it was truly worth it.

This is not a 5 star resort. The rooms had a smell of damp and mould and walls were paper thin so we could hear other residents yelling at 3am. If you are a fan of screaming kids, or have screaming kids and want them to run everywhere and ruin the experience for everyone then this is the hotel for you. It was all inclusive but most options are not part of the deal so you end up paying extra. My wife got food poisoning on the second day after eating one of their Chicken Gyros - as apart from that we ate mostly the same foods - and that meant she was stuck in the room for several days. They constantly setup weddings outside your room so don't expect much privacy or any sense of relaxation. On the few days that we managed to make it to the poolside and not vomiting, there was very little to do except listen to children shouting out of control with parents too drunk to care. It is a long way from Phuket airport so I would suggest just avoid altogether unless you hate yourself and want to waste money

We had an incredible stay at the Marriott Phuket Merlin Beach. Our swim-out room was absolutely amazing — the perfect blend of luxury and relaxation. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we especially loved the day bed on our patio, where we spent many afternoons napping and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. The staff and amenities were fantastic from start to finish. The food and drinks were delicious, and everyone we met went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. A very special thank you to Ice, whose compassion and understanding during a family issue meant more to me than he knows. His assistance was truly appreciated. And a big thank you as well to Dew, who greeted us with such warmth every day — he is the sweetest young man and always made us feel welcome. We highly recommend this resort and would return in a heartbeat!

Overall the stay was nice with good facilities, especially for those with kids. However, check in was a very slow process and I had to wait around 20 minutes before being served. Also, my booking stated I would be entitled to free kids meals (once a day) for my kids but this was just a gimmick and the catch was the kids eat free if you choose to eat at their buffet for dinner only (and the catch was the adults had to pay). Not much of a benefit especially when you have a 3 and a 4 year old who hardly eat anything….

The all inclusive package should have soft drinks in the rooms and meals should not have any additional charges such as surcharges.Avoid sending unnecessary mails trying to restrict guests about additional charges during stay.
