Like most all mountain cabins in the area, if there is snow or ice in the forecast (which is actually pretty rare), you should have a four wheel drive vehicle to get up and down the mountain, and/or bring enough provisions to remain in the cabin until the road is clear. Otherwise a four wheel drive is not necessary.
