Pigeon Forge get-away

... booking was easy.. on arrival I asked possibility of upgrade to a room with a balcony... was told it was $20 more... I have stayed at other hotels that were noot booked full who automatically upgraded room when there were balconies... this was not a wek-end booking and the hotel was not fully booked... an upgrade would have been a nice incentive to book there again....

Loved the river access. Staff was not very friendly. Indoor pool is warm but way too small of an area to feel comfortable in if there is more than few people... at the price point though it was ok.

Great stay for the price, clean. We had a private balcony but not river view. If you are looking for a riverview they do have a nice area on main level that overlooks river. Just not a fan of the main road noises. Would recommend ear plugs and definitely needed them.

Okay

Room was clean and comfortable but the mini fridge did not work and vending machines were sold out. I called the front desk to ask about getting a late check out and the lady actually laughed at me and said absolutely not, that's not a service they offer. Thats fine, but the laughter was a little much.

The staff was strict, and breakfast was HORRIBLE! The eggs tasted like they came from a carton mixed with chalk, the biscuits tasted like an unflavored ball of goop, and the sausage, if that is even what it was, happened to be the only decent thing. Not to mention the view of the balcony was horrible.
