The hotel is old (and not n a good way). It hasn’t been well maintained or updated. Staff at the desk were friendly. When we entered our room we were hit with a very strong unidentifiable odor. It smelled damp and chemically. We went down to the desk to talk to the staff about it and their resolution was to hand me a spray bottle of air freshener. I thought it was pretty rich of them to tell me I would be charged a fee of $250 if we smoked in the room! We don’t smoke but I’m not sure I wouldn’t have rather smelled smoke than the horrible smell that was in there. I highly don’t recommend staying at this hotel.

One suggestion

My only suggestion is that someone needs to sit at the front desk, not back in the small room off the front desk. Without this, a stranger can enter the hotel and go on any floor. This does not seem safe.
