Great location; excellent service. Hotel had a restaurant but it would have been nice to have free lobby coffee. Also, I would have had a nightcap at the bar but it was lit up like a Christmas tree. No one wants to sit at a bar under a spotlight.

Staff were great, both at the front desk and restaurant. Walls in room were thin, could clearly hear tv and conversations next door. Ceilings are low in the room as well.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was very convenient for our purposes at the University of Pittsburgh. The room and bathroom were very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Elevator did not need a room key to operate. That’s supposed to be a big safety feature. Anyone can walk in off the street and hop on the elevator.

Let me just say that the front desk staff were EXCELLENT! They were always friendly and helpful. I frequently travel, and the customer service was a 10/10. They were able to graciously accommodate a few requests. Before booking my stay I was apprehensive because I had read a few negative reviews. I can now tell you that I did not experience one negative thing. I was also surprised that I could not hear anyone walking in the room above me- that is something that I CAN NOT stand. The rooms were cleaned daily. I’ve stayed at places where you had to call and ask for housekeeping if you wanted it done. Some places even had a cutoff time to make that request. Not this one. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. Top notch customer service!

Breakfast was awful. We were told by 2 staff members when we checked in that open menu Breakfast would be avalanche until 10 a m . We waited until 9:30 to go down. There was a sign there that said open menu was available until 10 a.m. we tried to order and were told by staff that closed at 9:30. Food was cold, had to ask to have table cleaned, coffee was not good.

Super-convenient for Pitt campus visit

Took my son for a Pitt campus tour. We arrived Sunday to check out the area. The hotel was convenient and clean. We enjoyed that the concierge put out Heinz Ketchup mini bottles and Hershey chocolate bars to celebrate 'Pennsylvania Day.'
