We booked our stay last minute when we were dropped in Pittsburgh because DC was having thunderstorms. The Sleep Inn had 2 rooms left. When we showed up the guy behind the desk looked really surprised to see us but once we explained, he was very helpful. Bed was comfortable but our neighbor above us had heavy boots on for about an hour keeping us awake. Breakfast was OK, the eggs were pretty good.

Check in person was really good. She was super nice and friendly. Breakfast was good and had a decent amount of choices. The hotel overall is an older hotel and could use some updates. The bed sheets looked clean, but smelled like sweaty arm pits. There was almost a black moldy looking stain on the shower curtain. Overall, it was an okay stay for us before we flew out the next day.

I had a queen suit room for the weekend Friday& Saturday. The sofa sleeper was worn and stained, it should be replaced. The refrigerator was missing all shelves. The hallway and elevator need to be cleaned. There was a garbage bin next to the south entrance that remained overflowing with trash everywhere. The bell carts are old, hard to move and filthy. The breakfast was minimally supplied with breakfast food. I paid $167.00 per night, "$75.00 would have been acceptable.

This was undeniably the dirtiest hotel I've stayed at and completely treated rude. After waiting about 35 minutes to check in, not knowing what rooms were even "cleaned" and phones ringing. Got to the room it stunk, hair all in the sink and toilet, doorknobs and light switches dirty, stuff spilled on the wall by bed, blood on bedspread! microwave was covered in dust, coffee maker to dirty to use! It was my daughters first time in a hotel to stay and go to the zoo and it was ruined. I took pictures of some and had housekeeping come and she was rude and acted like it was no big deal. When she was done now there was like 4 big hairs on the toilet from her hair. It's just careless of not even looking at anything or caring. And she was completely rude and dismissive. Trash all around the building you can't even walk anywhere, the grass isn't even usable to walk in. I've never been so grossed out in my life. To make this all worse, the next morning went to use blow dryer and it smoked as soon as it turned on and wouldn't even work! NEVER BEEN SO REPULSED BY A PLACE! and this is saying something. I had to go buy Clorox wipes just to make myself be in there but it's not saying much. Had to purchase blanket to sleep on and pillows. I'm not a picky person and my daughter is only 8 which we went for her birthday making this all the more ridiculous.

Just okay.

Service was good, everything else was just okay. Absolutely nothing special and nothing terrible. I did not have trouble parking and for me it was clean enough. The closet door was broke, the bathroom door got stuck and wouldn’t close, the pull out couch was dirty and had no sheets or pillows for it anywhere. Location was good, breakfast was okay, coffee was bad. Very much mediocre but for one night it was fine. Didn’t feel like great or terrible value.

We stayed for the 2nd time at sleep inn when visiting Pittsburgh. We have not had any complaints. This time my son was able to shoot hoops after breakfast for a little before heading to downtown.
