The hotel was clean, but the bed was beyond horrible. I travel a lot and this was by far the worst bed I've ever tried to sleep on - ever!! It was so bad i left a day early just to avoid sleeping on that bed a second time.

Front desk staff was very nice and polite. Room appeared clean. The bed was downright awful in terms of comfort though. Very hard and springy. But didn’t you expect much else. Breakfast offered was nice. About 30 min from LSU

Property was clean. Hallways are super hot!!’ The rooms were stuffy and hot upon arrival. The air hadn’t been turned on prior to our arrival. Other than that, everything was great. The water pressure is amazing and the freezer actually freezes! The room stayed extra cold once the air was turned on. Housekeeping actually tried to enter my room before checkout! They knocked then immediately opened my door without waiting for a response first. Luckily the latch was on the door so they couldn’t enter. They then tried to enter again after 11 but I had to remind them that we had late checkout at noon.

Everything was great! From the friendly staff to the quick and easy breakfast.. the only downside to this place is the MF train... it runs 8-10 times a day.. 24/7.. and blows the horn all the way thru town.. 2am and 5am are some of the times. Never missed a beat

We have stayed at this location (Plaqeumine, La) at least twice a year for last 10 years. City of Plaquemine as best Veterans Day observance of all I have attended. BW employees (Nick, manager, Tillie, front desk & Hilda, food service, treat us 'better' than family.

I like that the area was quiet. The room was clean and the temperature adjustment was not a problem. The staff was helpful and polite as well. The one big issue that made me give an average rating was that when I came for breakfast, there were fruit flies all over the pastries in the pastry cabinet! It was disgusting and nauseating! I was wary of anything else in the breakfast room after seeing that. Apparently, they appear to leave food over from the day before. The lady who was working the breakfast room was very sweet though.
