While otherwise everything was excellent, I have to strongly downgrade the place for the following reason. This is a concierge-less fully automated property. We got there exactly at 4, and the front door did not open w the provided pin. After trying several times, my wife discovered that an additional button had to be pushed, while I was on the phone unsuccessfully trying to get somebody on the provided phone number. This button was not disclosed in the instructions. That took 10 minutes. Then we went to the room provided in the original Expedia communications (each room had a name, not a number) and the provided pin again did not work. After a number of tries, the person I reached on the phone gave me the name and instructions to get to the room and it was not the original room. We went to the new room and the code again did not work. A worker in the house tried to help us but she had no means to access the necessary info, so she went on the same phone numbers to call the remote office. We in the meantime tried the room again, and then all the other rooms there in case we misunderstood the name, without success. Both the worker and I finally reached the office and verified that the code and new room were correct, and with her help we were finally able to enter it after the 3rd try! It turned out that both the front door and especially the room door were sticking and did not open even with the correct pin. It was now 4:35 and we were bushed and greatly upset.

Excellent stay overnight. Would have liked bedside lamps for reading. There wasn’t a television but that didn’t bother us. Screened balcony to enjoy evening and morning coffee/tea. Easy self check-in and checkout.

I loved the common areas was unaware when booking that we would have access to cook in the beautiful kitchen. This place hits more like a VRBO home, would love to bring more family and book more rooms for another stay. having the state park directly across from the lodge was a huge plus as was the 3 car garage game room. Only down side, and it might just be me, was no TV in the room.

WEIRD and IMPERSONAL- Feel obliged to warn people. I arrived and let myself in w provided code on keypad. I had the name of my room but didn't know where it was. I walked down the first floor hall and it wasn't there. I lugged my suitcase up the stairs, walked up and down that hall and it wasn't there either. I called the provided phone number. Asked the "concierge" and he said he didn't know because he was an hour away and had never been to the property ! but to "look for another staircase somewhere." Finally I found a guest who told me she thought there was a staircase through the kitchen. That's where my room was. If it wasn't for her I'd have never found it. What a weird and impersonal place. (I also cancelled an additional reservation within the published deadline and they are still fighting me for a refund. )

Beautiful lodge in quiet wooded natural setting yet close to trails and fun downtown. We were there on pilgrimage and the area was so peaceful and close to the churches. It was clean. They were very quick to meet our needs through the texts. Easy access with the codes felt secure. Kitchen options met our needs. Room very tidy and welcoming. Price can not be better.

Lovely old lodge vibes, great shared spaces, balcony was nice, everything is clean. Right by the state park. There’s a little meadow in the back where there were literally thousands of fireflies. We loved it. Note that the kitchen is shared. The bed was kind of creaky. But otherwise, perfect.

This lodge is designed for the location. A large log type lodge with country taste including high ceilings, log beams wood stove and open main floor plan. The room was very large and spacious with a nice balcony. Bed was comfortable and there was zero noise. Checking in is completed electronically where a code is sent to allow entry after booking. This system work flawlessly and contributed to the serene quiet of the building. Clean main rooms, clean simple sleeping rooms, no TV distractions, all led to sound nights sleep. Would stay again with out hesitation.
