I have stayed at several of the condos at El Faro over the past 5 years and while this condo was clean it needs a lot of updating for example, the sinks in the master bedroom do not drain properly, the air conditioner in the living room creates condensation which drips from the ceiling in the second bathroom which creates a slippery bathroom floor. Also, I agree with the other review regarding the condition of the kitchen items, which are worn and need to be replaced. Also, the two chairs in the living room smell of cat urine which we were finally able to identify. The staff at El Faro are usually very pleasant especially the front desk staff, but the security guard working the day shift this year by the pool (he must be new as I have never seen him before) was very agitated when you would ask for an umbrella by the pool, we are allowed one per condo. He was also not very observant as many people by the pool or sitting/laying on the decking did not have wristbands and are not supposed to be there. In the past, the pool security during the day is very pleasant and observant and asks those who are not residents to leave the property, this time it was a free for all, lots of drunk locals sitting and laying on the corner deck during the afternoon. We did not feel safe to leave our items at the loungers to swim in the pool or ocean due to this issue. We met other guests staying there that had items stolen by the pool due to this issue.
