There is plenty to discover in the area around Ploemeur: On Mondays, the local market invites you to take a stroll and sample fresh, regional produce. The nearby harbour of Lomener offers wonderful walks, a shuttle bus runs from here to the island of Groix, and the surrounding beaches are ideal for relaxing hours or sporting activities such as surfing and kayaking. The Interceltic Festival takes place every year in August for a fortnight in Lorient, with Celtic groups from all over the world, easily accessible by bus from the apartment.
