Adjacent to the superb manor house dating from 1583 that she occupies (also perfectly restored), it sits peacefully on the edge of a lane, a stone's throw from the first vineyards, in the heart of a picturesque and charming little Burgundian village, steeped in history and perfectly preserved (beautiful 19th-century neo-Romanesque church, wash houses, and numerous carefully restored "cadoles"). Enjoy complete tranquility in the heart of the unspoiled wine country of the Haut-Mâconnais, a place that is both urban and rural, nestled in a valley of vineyards and meadows overlooked by the wooded ridges of the vast surrounding wild forests, within a protected ZNIEFF area renowned for its rich flora and fauna. This spacious and very comfortable gîte features large rooms and generous proportions. A warm, rustic charm enhanced by the unique, slightly retro feel of this once elegant home, as well as by its meticulous heritage restoration (exceptional cement tile floors, molded doors, beams, including one dating back to the original period, marble fireplace mantels, stone sink, and original terracotta tiles).
