The house is very cute and nicely decorated, and it’s clear the owner has put a lot of work into it. The kitchen is great, the shower works well, and the caretaker was a really nice guy.Unfortunately, several issues affected our stay. Most importantly, the bed configuration on the VRBO listing was inaccurate. We specifically chose this property based on the advertised beds. The property manager initially acknowledged the error and apologized, but when we tried to find a reasonable solution, she became defensive. The focus shifted to whether the house could technically sleep our group and then to blaming VRBO. We found the response disappointing and not very customer-service oriented.There are other things we wish had been disclosed. Parking is quite far from the house, and from there the only way to the door is across about 50 feet of sand with no walkway. This is difficult for seniors and wheeled luggage. The exterior light didn’t work, leaving the approach dark at night. The AC is extremely loud, making the adjacent bedroom difficult to sleep in. The top bunk is impractical due to the ladder and low ceiling. There are also small changes in floor height that we frequently tripped over.Finally, the ocean view is only a narrow sliver between two houses. There’s a lot to like about this charming house, but we wish the listing had accurately represented these important details.
