A stay at the Redstone House at Mendocino Stone Ranch is an experience you wont forget. Surrounded by coastal redwood forest, unique artisan stone artwork and the sounds of nature - you're sure to create unforgettable memories to last a lifetime. The Redstone House property at Mendocino Stone Ranch offers 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a large patio and a deck overlooking the redwood forest below. In addition to the house, Mendocino Stone Ranch boasts over 30 one of a kind stone masonry art installations created by stone masons from around the world, linked by trails throughout 30 walkable acres of beautiful redwood forest with stunning ocean views.

The Redstone House comfortably sleeps 12, was remodeled in 2012 and customized with artisan tile accents. Towering redwoods surround it and feature a red sandstone patio with a fire pit surrounded by tile mosaics from the Catalina Island seawall. Just a few feet from that lies our black granite wood-fired pizza oven. The home offers a master bedroom with a California king bed, an adjacent bathroom with a bath and shower, a guest room with one queen bed and a twin bed, a second bathroom with shower, two loft bedrooms accessible via ladders that each have two twin beds, and a separate downstairs room that sleeps 3, with one queen bed and a twin bed, accessible via sliding glass doors at the back of the home. The downstairs room is separated from the rest of the home.

We are located 2.2 miles up Fish Rock Road from Highway 1 in Anchor Bay, CA. Take a moment to pause in our meditation station perched above the pond, or seated atop one of our stone retaining walls or bridges. Wander to the Fish Rock Watch tower and take in the ocean views from the observation deck at sunset. Or, you could take a 5-minute drive down the hill to the beach ~ there are an abundance of options to choose from during your stay at Mendocino Stone Ranch. The property was really nice and comfortable. We were only there for a weekend and didn’t cook or anything. But it looked well equipped. A few things I didn’t care for were that one of the rooms only had curtains for a door, the master bedroom has a skylight that shines light in once the sun comes up and there’s no way to cover it, and the bedroom downstairs has to be accessed from outside yet has no bathroom. Overall though, I really liked the property and would probably stay there again if I go back to that area.

A most unique property creates a memorable family gathering. The home is very well cared for and the grounds have a spirituality that is one of a kind. Two separate loft bedrooms are accessible by secure ladders; downstairs bedrooms are best for older and youngest family members. Gracious and responsive owner. Kitchen is well equipped.

Beautifully Decorated Home with Amazing Outdoor Space

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Stone Ranch! As three small families, we found it to be the perfect size for us. The house itself was stunning, beautifully decorated with plenty of gorgeous details to admire. The amenities were top-notch, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The real highlight was the expansive grounds. There were numerous little trails to explore, each leading to and from fascinating stone art pieces. Some were small and intricate, while others were feats of engineering. We loved the map which made us feel like we were on our own fairy tale adventure—fascinating and enjoyable for both adults and children. Our little dog also had a fantastic time, happily exploring the property with us. The host was fantastic—clear instructions and everything we needed were provided. We will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!
