Fantastic night away.

Stayed for a business trip. Everyone was very friendly, ended up staying up too late drinking the local ale with the regulars. Food was amazing the rooms are comfortable and everything seems new. Will stay again.

Nice and clean place

Nice clean place to stay.The double bed was a bit small and the mattress was soft so struggled to sleep well . Breakfast on Sunday was served at 830 ,felt that was a bit. Apart from that great place to stay

Great country inn

Great stay at the Long Man Inn. Very quiet location, great hosts and staff, brilliant food and beer. A great redevelopment of the original building into a pub with great rooms.

A lovely old pub with modern and comfortable rooms. There is a general theme of "The Long Man" which gives the pub character. I would stay here again.

Amazingly welcoming pub/b&b! The owners were so kind and welcoming to us and our dog.. they even let her trot around the pub off lead! Would totally recommend a stay here. Lovely rooms, lovely people, lovely experience!

Lovely rural pub. Well decorated throughout. Really good food, fresh , tasty and hot. Friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. Good place to stay for walking and visiting local villages.

Very Pleasant Sussex Countryside Stay

Lovely overnight stay at a pretty little place. My wife and I enjoyed a rare evening away without kids. Room was ready when we arrived, so we were able to check in a little early. Had a drink at the bar prior to taking bags up to the room - perk of staying above a pub! Staff were friendly when checking in. Room was very clean and comfortable, with a nice en suite and good facilities. Nice views of the south downs as well. If I have one criticism, it would be that the bed was small. But the room was advertised as having a double bed, so we knew about this in advance. Being 6ft3 it was a bit of a squish, but not the end of the world. We had lunch at the pub. Burger was from local butcher and locally sourced meat. Very tasty. Local beer as well. Was conveniently only 5 minutes or so walk to the Long Man of Wilmington, which we did in the afternoon. Recommend hiking up and around the Long Man for spectacular views. In the evening we went to Alfriston for dinner at a 14th Century pub. Very atmospheric. Only a 5 minute drive away. Cooked breakfast was included. Locally sourced produce again, and well cooked. Would recommend.

Excellent 1 night-stay near the Long Man of Wilmington. Perfect if you also want to explore South Downs/Seven Sisters Cliff - Room was nice, staff was friendly, food was great. Only changes I would suggest are option of thinner pillows/summer duvet during summer months, and milk for the tea offered in the bedroom.
