What an incredible place! The space was accommodating, comfortable, and the perfect location on the island. Parking was easy and we loved being able to say hello to the animals on the property. Would definitely recommend this rental to anyone interested in a nice combination of relaxing and exploring the wonderful island and all it has to offer!

Gorgeous view!

The highlight of this property is the oceanfront view from the deck - we greatly enjoyed our time spent there. The property is very clean, nicely decorated, and the host is very friendly and communicates effectively.The only downside to this property, and it's a small thing, is that it was very minimally stocked with towels and paper supplies. Perhaps this is to encourage visitors to be eco-friendly, but at this price point I'd rather have a well-stocked kitchen and bath and make my own decisions regarding thoughtful resource use. Overall though I give this place an A and highly recommend.

Pounding waves and stunning scenery

Yet again our VRBO experience has surpassed our expectations. We spent the first week of November at Sea Roots. What a beautiful corner of paradise! The island of Sao Miguel itself is stunning. Gorgeous vistas in every direction. Having Sea Roots as a home base was wonderful. The property is ideally situated looking over the ocean. Despite a bit cooler weather, we didn't need to use the woodstove. The property is well equipped and extremely comfortable. We felt right at home immediately. It was incredible to have a front row seat to the pounding November waves! Hosts Tania and Doug are kind and responsive to any needs. If you like animals, be sure you take the time to meet their guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, and dogs! A perfect vacation based out of a perfect property. Just book it. You won't be disappointed.

Cozy home away from home

From the moment we arrived we felt comfortable and at home. From the view of the crashing waves, the efficient wood stove and comfy beds to the hosts attention to respecting the environment. Tania has paid close attention to providing her guests with everything they need. The location was private and absolutely gorgeous but within walking distance of the centre of town. Steve’s bar down the road was an added bonus.

Lovely sea front house!

We absolutely adored Sea Roots. The access to the natural pools across from the house was a huge selling point and we went there almost every day. The view of the ocean from the living room was lovely. Tania is an incredible host and even gave us a basket of delicious veggies and herbs from her garden for our stay. If you’re looking to spend time in Mosteiros, I definitely recommend this home.
