In the heart of a sunny area, where the harmony between the rural environment and modern amenities come together to create a unique Rural Tourism experience, welcome to Casas da Luz!This enterprise is an oasis of tranquillity, situated in a stunning setting that offers a spectacular view over the sea and the majestic surrounding mountains.It is estimated that the main house of this enterprise was built in the 19th century, around the year 1880, and was subject to reconstruction works in 1934.In the 1970s of the 20th century, the house was acquired by Agostinha da Luz and three generations of this family have grown up there until the present day. It is in homage to this matriarch that the name Casas da Luz emerges. Between 2020 and 2023, this space of memories and tradition composed of the main house and the annexed buildings was subject to requalification and expansion works, with special care in the conservation of the various elements that characterise traditional Madeiran houses, including the stone walls and the winery, where wine is still produced annually. Divided into three welcoming units, each designed to provide maximum comfort and privacy: the Mother's House, divided over two floors, offers three spacious bedrooms; the Latada House located on the upper floor composed of two bedrooms and the Pedreira House, located on the ground floor, has a spacious bedroom.At Casa da Pedreira, a cosy T1, you will find the stone walls of the old structure, with an open-plan kitchen alongside the living room. The accommodation features a bedroom with a double bed and a private bathroom. You will also find an interior relaxation area, where you can enjoy relaxing and reading a book.This house is a refuge for moments together, due to its privacy and practicality.You will be presented with an infinity pool, the perfect place to relax, refresh yourself, and enjoy a relaxing swim while appreciating the stunning view that only Casas da Luz can offer you!For culinary enthusiasts, we offer a small vegetable plantation and fruit trees to make your meals much more special.
