Great for a weekend in alternative Jamaica

We’d read the reviews of the hotel being outdated and not-great. This wasn’t our experience. True, it needs a serious upgrade and lick of paint... but the room and towels etc were scrupulously clean. The gardens were immaculate and beautiful. The staff were absolutely fantastic and the all-inclusive for 3 nights worked out really well. Great as a base for the mountains, Blue Lagoon and Frenchman’s Cove.... not to forget the ‘interesting’ roads and driving! All in all, a great long weekend.

Aussen wow, innen naja

Pros: Die Sauberkeit (die Überdecke auf dem Bett hat uns trotzdem geekelt)
Cons: Essen, Service, Zimmer
Location: Unbedingt mit Mietwagen die Tage dort verbringen.
Von aussen sieht dieses Hotel super aus, aber leider ist es sehr alt und die Zimmer brauchen unbedingt ein update. Der Service lässt zu wünschen übrig. Es sind zwar alle sehr nett, aber alles dauert. Das Früstück war nicht gut, man konnte zwischen jamaikanisch und continental wählen, sobald man z.B. Früchte bestellt, kostete es extra (800.-- JMD für einen kleinen Früchteteller ist echt überriessen). Das Rührei schien schon länger rumgestanden zu sein, schmeckte nicht frisch und es ging anderen Gäste auch so. Man braucht unbedingt einen Mietwagen für diese Gegend es ist weder direkt am Strand noch hat es einen Laden in der Nähe. Wenn das Hotel ein Taxi bestellt, bezahlt man schon ab 1000 JMD. Wartet man vor dem Hotel bis ein Taxi kommt, zahlt man ca. 400 JMD in die Stadt. Positiv war die Sauberkeit der Zimmer und Anlage. Also Preis/Leistung passte für uns nicht.
