Wedding Weekend Disaster

The playground and trampoline plus hot tub sold me on the property. It’s listed as a house but is a duplex. There weren’t directions on the hot tub, only a set of rules. My daughter found a water toy and had it in the hot tub. She noticed the sticker paper on it was peeling so I told her to take it out. The next day it was not working. The owner stormed over and instead of checking out the hot tub 1st immediately started blaming my children had done something to break it. Then she noticed paper residue in the hot tub and said my children had put paper in it. I assured her they did not. A paper tag was found and I think my son had forgotten to take off the tag to his new swim suit and it must have come off. She pulled the water filter out and continued to speak nastier to me. She called her husband over and they concluded that it overheated and the paper residue caused it to shut off. They would need to call a repair man. I told her ok and she told me that it is certainly not ok and I would be getting the bill. I informed her I had the accidental damage insurance. She got nastier and I had to finally tell her to leave bc she was ruining my wedding weekend. The playground and trampoline was old and starting to break down. One of the toilets not flushing well. The front door lock stopped working the day before we left and cooking pans stick food and hard to clean. The rest of the weekend I was afraid if my kids accidentally broke anything else she would get nasty again.

Nice Property!

We stayed a week and were very pleased. The home is in a quiet area about 20 minutes to Boca Grande and 30 minutes to the Convention Center in Punta Gorda. It was very clean and nicely decorated and the host was very easy to reach.
