The staff at the hotel was very good. We got off the ferry from doing the inside passage at 12:30 AM and we went straight to the hotel and the staff were all up and ready to assist us even given the late hour. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the room was very clean and decorated lovely. We would definitely stay here again considering how easy it was to get there after getting off the ferry so late. We were on two motorcycles and the parking was very easy and convenient for us. Because we stayed at the hotel we got 20% off food in the restaurant as breakfast is not included. It also had a really cute gift shop with indigenous themed items. We would absolutely stay here again.

One thing they could improve on is to have a coffee machine in the main lobby. The restaurant opens at 7am and you have to pay for a quick cuppa. Most other hotels provide it for free.

The hotel on its own was absolutely fine. It was the poor service of the reception personnel which disappointed us the most. First our room wasn’t ready until 6:15 pm, while check-in started at 4pm. No time estimate was given when we arrived shortly after 4pm. Second, we noticed that the toilet in our bathroom wasn’t clean. We requested that it would be cleaned the next day (reported it to the receptionist), but nothing had happened when we came back to the hotel in the evening. We had our dinners at the pub of the hotel. One has to wait to be seated, but personnel was so overwhelmed that we waited 15 minutes at the door. At some point we simply sat down and service was much better after that. It seems to us that housekeeping and other personnel couldn’t deal with the number of rooms booked. The hotel had no vacancies left for the two nights we were there, so all the rooms must have been occupied. Personally I would book another accommodation when visiting Port Hardy next time.

Best hotel to stay in Port Hardy. Only issue we had was that we requested a room away from the elevators and we were given a room right next to the elevators when we checked in. Took a bit of convincing to have the front desk clerk swap our room with One that was farther away. Other than that, it was a pleasant day and the restaurants were great!
