The Spanish Moss Cottage is newly renovated, stylishly appointed, and extremely comfortable- a little gem of a house with a huge amount of beautifully landscaped outdoor space. We are Premier Hosts with years of VRBO experience who have just added this second property onto the platform. Having stayed in many VRBO's for work, we've figured out what guests really value, and our goal is to give you a concierge style-stay, with premium amenities and conveniences.
Relax on the screened-in back porch and enjoy the beauty of the Lowcountry in our spacious fenced-in yard that backs directly onto the Spanish Moss Trail, a rails-to-trail greenway that is one the recreational centerpieces for Beaufort County. With a current 20-mile round trip experience for residents and visitors, the Trail offers a 12-foot-wide paved path dedicated to pedestrians and bicyclists. Walk through our back gate and you’re on the trail-we supply 2 bicycles, bike locks and helmets.
The neighborhood is quiet, safe, and relaxed, and the location can't be beat-downtown Port Royal is less than a mile away and offers variety of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, the Sands Beach, and the Cypress Wetlands Boardwalk trail. Paris Island is literally 2 minutes away if you are in town for a military graduation. The historic and remarkable town of Beaufort is a 4 mile drive down Ribaut Road.
We've made the most of the interior layout to create a well-appointed little getaway with your comfort and convenience in mind. The completely remodeled kitchen is fully stocked with everything you'll need to prepare a Lowcountry feast-or use the gas grill in the backyard to grill up some fresh seafood-we’ve got some great recommendations and insider tips for shopping in our house guide.
You’ll find the bedrooms clean and comfortable, with first rate 100 % cotton linens. The Wireless internet is very fast, and you can watch all your subscriptions on our 42 inch Samsung Smart T.V.
We have a fully stocked Laundry room, and provide have everything you might need for the beach: In addition to a South Carolina State Park pass that gets you free admission onto the wonderful Hunting Island, we provide beach towels, beach toys, folding chairs and a beach umbrella. Hunting Island is a 25-minute drive and a trip back in time through beautiful St Helena Island. Savannah is an hour south, and Charleston in 1.5 hours north, so your in the perfect place to enjoy all that the Lowcountry has to offer!
During your stay at this cottage, you're just a quick walk from Westvine Drive Trailhead. Enjoy features like concierge services and laundry facilities. Enjoy your stay with amenities like a kitchen and a Smart TV in the cottage.

The stay was fantastic. All the details that most others stays overlooked were taken care of. Snacks, drinks, and a pantry full of items that may be needed. We brought our own bikes and were thrilled the trail was right out the back gate. We rode the full trail then into Port Royal another day. Weather was terrific. But would stay again with out a doubt!

12 out of 10, highly recommend booking this home. The location is close to everything yet it is in a quiet neighborhood. Backyard opens to the trails. The hosts went above and beyond with all the little extras in the house. They have thought of everything. I recommend taking advantage of their Hunting State Park pass. The beach is beautiful and not crowded at all. The screened in back porch and the fenced in backyard were perfect for our dog. Will gladly stay here again.

Perfect house for a weekend getaway

The house is in a great location, close to both Port Royal and Beaufort. We made use of the greenway behind the house and the pass to Huntington State Park. We all (dogs included) loved it!

I have stayed in many rentals. Spanish Moss Cottage was the best equipped ever! Beautifully decorated. Well-appointed in every way. Spent most of my time on the back porch, back yard and the Spanish Moss Trail, just on the other side of the back gate! Bedding was great and I have never seen another rental as clean. Pet friendly and comfortable in every way. Friendly, quiet neighborhood and excellent communication with Susanna. Oh, and the shower, can't forget to mention the amazing shower!

Great Little Cottage

The cottage was nice and clean which is a major factor for us. It was so nice having the Spanish Moss Trail right out the back gate. Although there was bikes we chose to walk every morning. Located close to lots of places and things to do.
