Wonderful Visit

My daughter and I had two beautiful rooms looking over the gorgeous bay. The only difficulty was navigating the parking lot with the bushes on the curb. The hotel staff were very kind and very accommodating to our schedule. We could not have been more comfortable. Thank you.

Many things seemed tired and in need of upkeep. Check in was strange with the front desk attendant giving us directions to our room with his back turned to us and trying to to speak over the radio that he had turned up to a loud volume. The room was in the old hotel, which I did not realize this was a thing when making the reservation. The shower ran out of hot water after 5 mins. There was no continental breakfast. But the bed was comfortable and the view was lovely.

We thought we had booked a water-view room, but found out otherwise! However, Bethany was fantastic there and gave us the upgrade of a water-view for no extra charge. We also wanted more blankets, and she brought them to our room for us--with so much kindness and a joyful demeanor. The room was fantastic! The view was fantastic, and we hope to go back!

This is straight forward lodging. If you are looking for bougie boutique - this isn’t for you. But if you want an awesome evening and morning view - this is the place. I think they are updating and renovating some and short staffed like many others - so they deserve some grace. It was clean, one of the most comfy beds I’ve slept in in our two week trek up the coast, staff was super friendly and all around genuine people. Oh, and good towels! I had left a really expensive item in our room and didn’t realize it until I got to the airport the next day. Skeeter, the general manager, and housekeeping have went above and beyond what they had to do to get this back to me. It’s not fancy, but it’s number one in two weeks of hotels stays (10 total) in 14 days ❤️

Definitely disappointed-don't book-not worth the price! Should have taken head to other reviews on this property! Dirty bathroom, no water, no towels, no extra pillows, no extra blankets-thin bedding, heater and air conditioning didn't work, phone kept on ringing but no one on the other end, dirty windows, debris in water apparently from city working on water lines, missing window screen. Front desk couldn't move us since hotel full but vacancy sign on, not authorized for refund either. Was able to remedy somethings but still we should be compensated with a refund!

We found the property to be old with a recent make over that was just covering up for the age of the property, floors were uneven, the deck had a handrail that was at eye level obscuring the view from the deck. The pictures of the property in the listing don't show the true condition of the property. I based my booking on the reviews and posted photos.

It is pretty good place to stay. The view from the room is quite nice. Beds are comfortable and the amenities are adequate. The only complaint I have is that the balcony chairs and table were dirty so we could not sit outside to enjoy.

The floors had crumbs, hair and unidentified things throughout the room. The tracks to the shower, closet & patio door - filthy as well. Great location though but we won’t be staying there again.

Tides Inn is in a lovely spot--literally right on the beach. Our room was large and filled with light, which was great because I wanted a place to work on art projects while my husband was doing something more active. The king bed was comfortable, and the shower had good water pressure. There was a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in our room. The view was absolutely incredible. Here's the less positive: There is no housekeeping during your stay unless you request it. Although some websites list the hotel as having a continental breakfast, they do not. Neither one of those things were a big deal for us, but our room was expensive enough that it was kind of weird to not have those. There are some tired-looking aspects of the hotel, e.g. the frame was coming off the side of the mirrored closet. We never heard the people on either side of us. However, there doesn't appear to be any insulation between the floors, and the sound of people walking above us was VERY loud. Every staff person we interacted (or heard interacting with others) was unfriendly and not very professional. The neon "lobby" sign was never turned on and a printed sign was so faded, it was no longer readable, so we had to guess where the lobby was when we arrived. On our last day--Check out is at 11 a.m., but our key cards stopped working at 10 a.m., which made loading the car in multiple trips inconvenient. Housekeeping knocked at 9:30 a.m., then came in immediately, before we had time to get to the door.
