This hotel was just okay. A great price but only moderately well kept. The rooms could use an update, particularly the bathrooms. Fixtures were rusty, showers leaked. The staff was barely professional and definitely not friendly. I stayed here because my father was having surgery at Maine Med and the hospital recommended it as a convenient location; it was very convenient but that was its best quality.

I mostly really appreciate the convenience of this location for transportation options. The front desk rep, server at breakfast, and shuttle driver were all super friendly and helpful. The building is older and has not had a renovation in some time. Apparently they lost half of their cleaning staff. This was the reason they gave me when I needed to clean a grease blob on the night table surface. So I would say that’s a management/corporate problem.

We tried to check-in a little bit before 5, our room was not cleaned yet and was told it would be only a few minutes. The line at the front desk got pretty long and after about 20 mins I asked if he’d tell me if our room was ready and he said only a couple mins more. (He was definitely over-whelmed with so many people checking in) After over half an hour I had to say we had to get dinner (we had two young kids with us) so we’d have to come back. Just unfortunate we came a couple hours after check-in time and our room was not ready and then everyone else checking in seemed to have a room ready & to wait around 30 mins till we decided we would have to come back. Just was hard with the plan we had to get in the room before dinner with kids. Once we got in the room after dinner, it was very dingy and did not feel clean and definitely needed updating, rusty fixtures in the bathroom, “damn” feeling rugs and peeling wallpaper. Unfortunately just not the best experience, especially for the price I paid.

Was fine for a quick stay. Property seems kind of run down and there is no pressure for the water in the shower or fan in the bathroom. Big pool which is nice. If I stayed again it would be a quick stay. You have to also pay for breakfast in the morning.

Nice location, friendly staff. The hotel needs a serious update. The room had many areas that were falling apart and the shower didn't drain well. At least it didn't feel dirty though.

Low price, mediocre value.

We tried to save money in an expensive city - Portland Maine - and paid for it with an insulting night manager and promises by other managers to make up for it that were not kept. Don't expect to be treated well, expect to be treated as a cheapskate. Bring your own hangers, and maybe a tool kit for the bathroom sink.

Our room was apparently a pet friendly room with visible carpet stains. While the room initially seemed clean, it got progressively smelly through our stay, and by morning we cut our stay short because of it. Our second room for our adult son was perfectly fine.
