Everything was great to check in until departure. Staff was friendly and helpful. At check out I left my boot a in the room, called and told them that I would be back to get them and the put them in a bag and had them ready for me. Room was comfy and a good size.

Everything was clean and tidy. The room was also quiet and warm. The staff was friendly and helpful including the valet personnel and breakfast staff. I will definitely stay there again when I am in Portland again.

Overall, we had a good stay, but the bed was too hard for us and the pool had too much chlorine. The free breakfast was great, we especially liked that there was different food offered each morning.

Everything was perfect from accommodations to breakfast and car valet. The hotel is just around the corner from all the great restaurants and bars on Commercial Street as well as to Monument Park and the happenings there. Have stayed there a number of times. The only reason I didn't give it a 5-star rating is because they have a breakfast/lunch joint where there used to be a very good restaurant and bar downstairs for night caps.

The rude male at the desk was incredibly loud in person and on the phone- as if he was yelking at everyone. He was unwilling to help some young teen immigrants asking for help with getting into their rooms, and no polite bedside manner with customers on the phone. I booked a room to take my child swimming for the night and upon walking past saw that the pool was "out of order". The desk attendant failed to mention that to me at check-in. I immediately walked back to the desk and asked if the pool was out of order and for how long to which he said "yes it is." "i dont know could be open tomorrow morning or later" in a very bad attitude. I explained I was going to check out then bc i specifically booked a room to take my child swimming. He said nothing but "ok". No help or assitance offered at all. He wouldnt make eye contact either-talked to the computer screen, the ceiling, and the objects around him but not to me. I asked if I was to just give him back the keys to check out? He responded with "yeah i guess, because you checked in i cant really check you out til tomorrow anyway. I said ok, but youll note that i brought keys back/left? Because i want to cancel, i specifically only booked the room for the pool time. He said "well i cant refund you". After that i was done, and said fine. He continued to talk to me like i was a robot. I finally asked why isnt it posted on the website or app when i made reservation? Or said when i checked in? He said well it just happened today.
