The Full Carriage House @ Portland's White House

Our historic Carriage House quietly looks out onto the lush green lawns and towering trees of our Irvington neighbors, and is the perfect spot to reserve for a group of up to 6!

There are three rooms in the Carriage House, each comfortably hosting 1-2 people: the Abe & Mary room on the main level, with the Ulysses & Julia room and the Teddy & Edith room upstairs.

Each room features an antique bed and its own beautifully renovated private bathroom with gorgeous tile. We offer complimentary street parking. Since there is no common areas within the Carriage House, guests staying there are welcome to enjoy the common areas of the main house as well as the shared patios.

Abe & Mary is a King Suite and is the only ground-level room on the property with one step up to enter. It features full coffee and tea offerings, a jacuzzi bathtub and shower, a mini refrigerator, and TV with streaming services available.

Ulysses & Julia is a Queen Suite and is the first room on the top floor of the Carriage House. It features full coffee and tea offerings, a walk-in shower and TV with streaming services available.

Teddy & Edith is a Queen Suite and is the room at the end of the hall on the top floor of the Carriage House. It features full coffee and tea offerings, a walk-in shower and TV with streaming services available.

Individually-ordered breakfast is served in the dining room of the main house daily. In partnership with our fabulous neighborhood businesses, we provide options for pastries and breakfast sandwiches as well as local coffee & tea. We also provide options for fresh fruit, yogurt parfaits, and hard boiled eggs.

To accommodate dietary restrictions, gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, and dairy-free options are available with 24-hour advance notice.

You'll also receive the door code for the main house, so members of your party can enjoy the lovely shared common areas.

Portland's White House has a staff member living on the property, and there will always be a staff member available via text to answer questions between 7:00am - 10:00pm!

While Portland is an incredibly pet-friendly city, due to the age of our historic property and its furniture, Portland's White House isn't able to accommodate pets. The only exception is for clearly-identified assistance animals. Thank you for understanding!
