The Location:
Welcome to Shift Vacation Rentals in the vibrant Mississippi District, one of Portland’s most beloved and walkable neighborhoods.

Just a few minutes from the house, Mississippi Avenue is lined with colorful storefronts, creative boutiques, lively music venues, award-winning restaurants, and some of Portland’s best craft breweries. Spend the day exploring local cafés, vintage shops, and galleries, then enjoy dinner and drinks without ever needing to drive.
This lively street is surrounded by charming historic neighborhoods, giving you the perfect blend of urban energy and classic Portland charm.

The Space:
This beautifully remodeled home is a bright and welcoming transformation of a 1920s bungalow. Thoughtfully designed for vacation rentals, the house offers comfortable gathering spaces, stylish details, and plenty of room for groups to relax together.
Natural light fills the main living area, where white wood walls and warm finishes create a relaxed farmhouse feel in the heart of the city. The open floor plan connects the kitchen, dining area, and living room, making it easy for everyone to spend time together.
The fully stocked kitchen includes everything you need to cook and entertain, including a coffee grinder, coffee maker, blender, microwave, toaster, quality knives, and all the cookware needed for group meals. The large wood dining table is perfect for shared dinners or planning the next day’s adventures.
Of course, you may find yourself eating out most of the time since some of Portland’s best restaurants are just a short walk away.

We had a great time in the house. The home is cozy and had everything we needed to make a memorable Thanksgiving meal with local family. The layout is great for giving privacy and together spaces. All communications were prompt, and the house instructions were clear and well-organized. Our holiday family gathering was truly priceless! The home was perfect for two toddlers and six adults, and the dining table easily accommodated everyone plus two dinner guests. The house exceeded our expectations. We stay in vacation rentals multiple times a year which gives us a realistic idea of what to expect for the money. This home really delivers. The inside is comfortable with personal touches such as artwork and beautiful handmade tables throughout. The kitchen well stocked, lighting pleasing, guestbook helpful, internet fast, front porch cute, neighborhood excellent. I can’t stress how historical and wonderful this neighborhood is. There were four of us staying, so having 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was wonderful. The beds were very comfortable and the blackout curtains kept it nice and dark. The neighborhood is lively, but it wasn't noisy at all at night. The house is well equipped with supplies in the kitchen and bathrooms. We really just needed to bring our clothes. The location is perfect for exploring all parts of the city. We could get anywhere we wanted in 20 minutes or less. It was especially nice being close to the airport on our last day. The owners were very friendly, welcoming and quick to respond to questions. This is a great property for a group of friends or a family.

Wonderful little get away

It was really nice! The basement was well furnished! The duel showed head on either side was really great! Close to so many great little locations. Would recommend to anyone staying in Portland.
