Recently stayed at Hotel Eastlund and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. Upon arrival, the room did not appear to be properly cleaned. The floor hadn’t been vacuumed, there were orange splatters inside the mini-fridge, and the tray on the ottoman also had the same orange residue on it. Most concerning was the mold in the bathroom. There was visible mold on the shower tile as well as around the perimeter floor. When we brought it to the attention of the hotel staff, they only confirmed that they were already aware of the issue. That said, we stood on a towel while showering for the duration of our stay. The surrounding area also felt uncomfortable. There were frequently unhoused individuals around the entrance, and the hotel locks its doors for key-card access in the evenings. While I understand the safety measure, the doors were sometimes locked as early as 6 p.m., and on one occasion there were people on both sides of the entrance when we returned, which felt unsettling. That said, the hotel is inexpensive and does provide a place to sleep, so you do get what you pay for. However, cleanliness and overall comfort were lacking, and I would not feel comfortable staying here again.

Great location and pricing for convention center activities. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The rooms were tidy and well-kept, and the hotel-provided in-room amenities such as snacks and bathrobes really made my stay pleasant.

We stayed here for five nights to check out the hotel as a base for guests coming to our son’s wedding and were very pleased with most aspectos of our visit. The hotel is nicely updated, clean and bright. Staff were helpful and restaurant was pretty good. Tranportation to/from the airport vía MAX was super easy and cheap. The hotel is just across the street from the Convention Center stop. The neighborhood has some unhoused people loitering across the street at the Denny’s and another building but they never bothered us and we felt pretty safe walking around, even at night. There are several fast food restaurants nearby, but not a lot of nice restaurants. The Metropolitan Tavern in the hotel is pretty good and we had a nice meal a few blocks away.

Okay I didn’t complain to the actual hotel about anything because we only stayed four hours to sleeep while waiting for a plane. But the room was gross and I do not understand why that hotel is on your VIP list. The two employees we saw were polite and accommodating. But our room was gross.There were hairs on our sheets, hair around the toilet base, the toilet was clogged when we entered the room, the shower glass was not properly cleaned, the soap dispensers were very dirty and empty. Not at all impressed. I Will not go back there again.

Everything was wonderful. The staff, the valet, the room and restaurant were all perfect and reasonable/fair pricing. I absolutely feel like royalty when I stay here. The location is also very desirable being only a few blocks from Moda amd across from the convention center and just a short ride to plenty of night life entertainment.

Beautiful hotel, staff were super nice, valet attendants were always right there when we needed them. We had a gymnastics meet at the Oregon Convention Center and this location was just a quick walk across the street and we were there. Very convenient and we would definitely stay again!

Great experience. Real team in the staff and I love the mid century style a lot. This is my preferred hotel in Portland. Amanda at the front desk made me feel so comfortable and at home. Nice to have that after traveling so far.
