Walking into the hotel, the staff member was not very friendly about helping find parking, since part of the parking lot is under construction. There were homeless people all around the property. The hotel is super outdated and has a musky/stale smell. Our hotel room was right next to the metro bus rail and our sliding glass door was screwed in place, leaving a gap between. It sounded like we were sleeping outdoors next to the busiest highway! The gap between the carpet and bottom of the hotel door was big enough for someone to stick their phone on the ground and record. Not safe for kids to be at and definitely will NEVER be back again.

Great location easy walking distance to Moda center. But over all the hotel is severely dated and needs some TLC. The beds are very springy and the carpets are torn.

Clean room- old building

The room was clean and the staff was friendly. However it is quite loud all night since the train goes by and rings a bell every time. The hotel is also clearly aging and feels a bit—-off. The location is amazing but finding the parking lot was challenging and they charge extra to park.

The staff was super friendly. That’s the highlight of this stay. The room was FREEZING. They had a sliding glass door but there was gaps and they let the cold air in. The train literally ran right outside the room and was super loud. The room and bathroom had stain or blemishes all over. The tub was GROSS. When we got back there was a homeless couple prepping their drugs for consumption literally right outside the front entrance. The receptionist sat there and let them do their thing. Nevermind trying to keep it safe and clean for the guests. If you’re desperate sleep in your car.

For a one night stay, it was fine. But our room did feel like it was cobbled together from the leftovers of other slightly better rooms. Nothing really matched. The toilet seemed like it was made for an elementary school. There were stains on the furniture and carpet. The hallway smelled like Carpet Fresh.

Hidden Gem

Great place! My mom and I spend two nights downtown every January (and September) for the comic conventions. The property is directly across from the convention center so it couldn't be more convenient. The prices are great and the staff was super pleasant. The rooms were also very clean. I'm looking forward to staying again soon!

All hotel workers were very friendly and helpful. We had a pet friendly room; quite, comfortable bed, great location to the parking garage and smelled good! Great location for where we wanted to be in downtown Portland. Hotel is a bit on the tired side, needs some refreshing!

This hotel is very old. The wall paper is pealing. The noise from the public transit was so loud that I didn't get any sleep. I've stayed her before and it wasn't the case. Perhaps there is a quiet side of the hotel. If you stay here, I'd inquire.
