Horrible experience!

Warning! If you are even a little bit sensitive to scents DO NOT stay here. They use cleaning products that are so heavily scented that just stepping into our room gave me an instant headache! We tried leaving the window open for several hours which helped a little, but obviously left the room freezing cold and uncomfortable. After the first night we asked if we could get a refund for the for the remaining 2 booked nights if we checked out early but they refused. They did offer us to change rooms but with the same cleaning products how would that help? The scent was still present enough to cause headaches on the third night. Staying at this hotel ruined our entire trip! Do not recommend!

The rooms are very cute, but very basic (which I appreciate, but might not be for everybody). The building is also very cute and old. Be sure to follow the instructions for self check in, I didn't and had issues getting in my room, but the night employee was awesome helping me.

Overall, a great place to stay. This hotel is right by Powell's and most downtown amenities. Everything is walkable or available by transit with ease. This is a great base for your Portland adventures!

Downtown PDX. Room was spacious, nicely interior designed. Appeared as if the room hadn’t been rented in a while because some dust buildup on windows, shelves. Every section of the room was interesting, the way it was remodeled and retrofitted was nice. The lighting fixtures were great. The view from the windows was great. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean.
