AMAZING stay. Anna the receptionist welcomed me so warmly, (I was traveling alone), and gave me the BEST recommendations. The space itself is so beautiful and apparently used to be a church. The property was fabulous! We loved our stay and the breakfast was delicious with the homemade jams, desserts, cheeses, fresh juice, the yogourt, etc. The attention to detail was impeccable. Check-in was easy and delightful with Anna too. The only suggestion and very minor…..is to include a wine opener/ corkscrew in the room and availability for guests to fill their water bottles at a water station in the main area. Thank-you Belemont52, we will sing your praises to our friends that are travelling to Porto for a vacation. If you are questioning whether to stay here….don’t…..close to everything….bars, restaurants, historic sites and attractions.
We enjoyed sitting in the main area with our wine/drinks before heading out for our evening meal.

Alfonso couldn't have been more helpful upon our arrival. There are only 6 rooms, so it was very quiet. We had room 6 on the 4th floor. No elevator for us, but they did have a luggage elevator for which we were very grateful! Fantastic room with views over looking the Douro River and Gaia. Only problem was there was no parking available as stated on Expedia and street parking around the hotel has a 2 hour maximum. We parked on the street overnight and then moved to a garage in the morning near our tour departure. Worked out well. They also went out of their way for us and had a delicious breakfast ready early so we wouldn't be late for our tour. Would gladly recommend!
