We were disappointed by the overall condition of the appartment in light of the great reviews on Expedia. I am sure it was covid clean but the appartment smelt very strongly of fish and whilst we were offered a room spray what was really needed was forbthe fridge to be properly cleaned and defrosted which we did ourselves. One or two othe small matters neede attention...the bedside lamp was broken and neede a new bulb and the cleing fan was damaged and had no bulb. Small issues overall but disappointing that the management left them unattended.

It’s a converted house done with charm, practicality & a variety of floor plans. Marquês Square is just outside the most popular Porto areas, but this means it’s quieter and has local atmosphere. The apartments are right opposite the Metro entrance, for excellent connections.There’s also a taxi rank, and good local restaurants & shops. The management & organisation are efficient and pleasant.

Fantastic Stay

Just spent 5 nights here. Hired the 2 bed 2 bathroom garden apartment. Had a fantastic stay. The host Alexandra was super friendly ☺️ The apartment itself is situated in a lovely little square. The metro is literally outside however we chose to walk the majority of the time. It takes approx 30 minutes to reach the harbour however you reach the first set of shops in 15/20 minutes. We did however take the metro to Matosinhos beach. The apartment itself was huge. It could do with a little bit of TLC in a few places and would benefit from a full size ironing board however other than that it was perfect. The garden was fab and a total sun trap! Alexandra organised our taxi transfers and offered locked luggage storage for our last day. There wasn’t an oven, just a hob however it didn’t matter as we ate out every day. The cafe next day offered great breakfasts plus there are several cafes/bakeries just a few doors down.

Excellent place to stay. Our apartment was perfect, spacious, light and had everything we needed. It was a great space for us and our toddler. The location is great. We liked being slightly out of the centre, though it's only 3 stops on the metro.

Spotless modern apartment in an old building. A lot of stairs but worth it for the views from the outside terrace where I spent some wonderful evenings. The manageress Alexandra is charming and helpful. One problem with a piece of furniture was dealt with same day. Good electric heater in the bedroom which was helpful in February when nights can still be cold in Porto.

I loved the location even though it was about 35 minutes walk to historic centre. It was across a square and metro was there. The area was charming and lively. The apartment was spacious, clean but couch was very poor and difficult to sit on... passed its day.

Porto in style

Lovely apartment in a great location next to Marques metro and buses. Also taxi rank across the road, which for a family of four proved to be economic for transport door to door. Very helpful and friendly ystaff.Finally and importantly the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space inside and out.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom unit last night. This was the end of a 10 day trip in which I was sick the entire time! I was really looking forward to a down day with relaxation in the back garden area, which was gorgeous. But.... when we arrived as planned at 930 am, we were told the unit wouldn't be ready until 530 pm. We're very frequent Europe travelers. In fact, this was our 3rd trip this year. So we're aware of mid afternoon check in times. But when I was asked for our arrival time and I said 930 am, no one bothered to disclose the late check in, so we thought it was ok to arrive at that hour and maybe have an hour or 2 wait. We were able to leave our luggage there, but had to figure out what to do for 8 hours considering I had a fever, conjunctivitis and an extremely sore throat. We had just disembarked a river cruise ship and would have been welcomed to stay onboard until 5pm had we known. Luckily, we were adopted for 5 hours by a cafe owner and enjoyed a couple of meals there. At 330 pm, we got the call that our room was ready! Needless to say, we didn't get an opportunity to enjoy the unit and patio. The place is very well kept! Very clean and roomy. This is a well kept and very affordable gem. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again but we would arrive later!

Fabulous Apartment

This is a fabulous apartment! We were so happy with the location (across from the metro) and loved the space the 2 bedroom apartment offered. We especially loved the terrace! There are lots of conveniences: washing machine, a separate sitting room, 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen with coffee and coffee maker, and it even includes the free use of a Smart phone which includes apps for getting around town. The owners really put a lot of thought in ensuring that their guests have a truly enjoyable stay. The only complaint I have is that the twin size beds desperately need to be replaced, as they are very lumpy and uncomfortable.
