We had a very pleasant stay in this hotel. The bedding was the most comfortable I have ever had in hotels. We slept so well. The hotel is conveniently situated near the overground station , it takes 25 minutes to central Porto. We had breakfast at the hotel and it was excellent. My only criticism is that the hotel charged my credit card twice for the tourist tax, once upon checking in, once when checking out. I did say to the young girl who checked me out that I had paid for the tourist tax upon checking in to make sure i wouldnt be charged twice. She assured me i would not be double charged but they did!!! I did send an email to the hotel through Expedia ( as the hotel doesnt have a direct email adress) but this still remains unanswered. I did try to call by phone but again no answer. I do not know if this is a genuine mistake from the hotel, but if they do this to everyone, they must be making a fortune! So, I would advise people to watch out for this. Having said all that, I really liked the hotel.

Very good hotel overall. Excellent helpful friendly staff. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed. Clean well appointed bathroom. Nice bar. Bar staff very professional. Good front desk. I’ve stayed in many hotels all over the world and this one is just very good. If it had a pool it would be perfect.

An ok stay for 2 nights

Recently stayed at four points by Sheraton Matosinhos. The building was in good condition; our room was small, but clean and well-appointed. Most of the staff were friendly, but the receptionist who assisted us with check-in was impatient and rude, and made us feel not welcomed. On the first evening, the shower flooded the bathroom and the bedroom within 2 minutes. The staff kindly delivered many towels, but we had to use them ourselves to gather the water and dry the floors. They were unable to immediately move us to a different room. We would expect a full refund for the first night of our stay, but the manager said most they can offer is 25% off for each night of our stay (2 nights total). Not sure if we will stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, we stayed for around 10 days. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The rooms and facilities very clean. The hotel itself is in a very convenient location, being a 5 minute walk from the beach, right next to a supermarket and also very close to bus and metro stops. The best thing is that there is a line of around a 100 fish restaurants at a walking distance too.

This was a return trip

This was a return trip to this hotel. It is very comfortable and convenient for stays in the redeveloped area of Matosinhos water front. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy, our details being retained on the hotel's system from our last stay. There is a free car park for guests under the hotel, which is super convenient. There for three nights, we slept soundly.

Beautiful and clean room. Great location; close to the beach, supermarket and bus stop! However, the female receptionist we had all three days was not very nice unfortunately. Not helpful at all and actually rude at answering our questions. Sighing and rolling her eyes. Nevertheless, we would still recommend this hotel because it was great.
