Fantastic apartments

Incredibly charming stay at the Lighthouse Apartments. The location is perfect, just one minute to the beach and a short stroll to amazing restaurants. The apartment was lovely with high ceilings and original decor.

Absolutely fantastic.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. David is a fantastic host. He spent at least 30 minutes telling us about the area, what restaurants were best and how the bus system works. The apartment is in a 150 year old building and is beautiful. The original moulding is still on the ceiling. Amelia’s is just up the street and an incredible place for breakfast. I highly, highly recommended staying at David’s Lighthouse apartment. Staying there you are immersed in the real life of Porto. We will definitely stay there again when we come back next summer. Oh, he does leave a decanter of Port for you to try. Delicious!

Quaint apartment

Check in was easy & David was very informative, letting us know about what’s around. The apartment was a short walk to the beach & several restaurants. It was lovely & the kitchen had all that you could need however I was under the impression that there was a washing machine on premises but the laundromat was a few doors down the road. We loved the French doors opening onto a small balcony & having breakfast with partial sea views. Parking was on the street & if you’re lucky & are there on the weekend, it’s free.

While the property was nice. There was an ant problem. I didn’t notice when we arrived. It looked as the though the manager just cleaned up a stray crumb. Unfortunately that was not the case. For the remainder of the time we were there I had to fight an army of ants. This was startling to my daughter and dampened our last vacation together before she went to live with her mom. While the inside was aesthetically pleasing we just had hard time forgetting about the ant issue. The location was pretty good. It was within a few minute walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The street was very busy and at times noisy. Uber was an easy trip to the center of Porto and usually ran 5-10 euro.

Très joli studio. Superbe emplacement, près de la plage. Vu que le studio donne sur la rue, c'est un peu bruyant...mais pas gênant. Studio propre et bien équipé. Lit très confortable. Rien a dire, je recommande cet appartement.
