It was a bit noisy at night time, but that just added to the lively atmosphere! The ladies chatted all night till 3am - no soundproof walls. Unfortunately, the linens weren't quite ready when we checked in, but maybe the laundry facility was just a bit behind schedule. Despite that, the place was clean. The breakfast was good, and the front desk staff were absolutely fantastic!

Very cute property and within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. There is a restaurant right down stairs and it can get a little loud with the diners outside so if you want it quiet this might not be the spot for you, they also should provide the name of the receptionist area when they message you with the check in instructions cause we had some trouble finding the place to check in when the uber dropped us off.

Easy check-in . Clean room, aircon was spot on! Bed was comfy and they had me checked in early. The location of the property is right next to their tram systems so it can get noisy. Stayed only 1 night instead of the 8 days due to family emergency. And yet they offered no refund whatsoever. Lost out on money. Heads up, the reception is located opposite road. There is a tourism tax you pay on your arrival which they dont tell you at all..

Out side of Porto but right next to tram- a lovely tiled building - Comfy except my room was so tiny But for the price it was fine - everyone at reception was great - It’s easy to access Porto from here

A compact but very clean room, great location.

Room was clean, staff were friendly, great location in terms of travel (but can be noisy, not the fault of the hotel at all!) Bathroom was compact but fully functional. Check in out of hours is across the road from São Fran but absolutely no issues with checking in. TV, Aircon, cleaned daily. Direct Metro into Porto (Trindade) and short walk from the beach.

Fantastic location to stay in Matosinhos, but tiny rooms like a cell. The room had a clean, comfortable bed and a good tv, but no window, nobedside tables or lamps. The only lighting came from a skylight, one bright led in the entryway, and the bathroom. Inexpensive compared to a hotel, but nothing close to hotel service.

The location of the hotel is great to stay.In the center very close to the shops and also the beach. And also the ambiance af the hotel is very nice buy unfortunately because its an old place,the floor makes noise when you walk. When booking this room it indicated there was a 24 hour reception. However when I got to the hotel in the evening, the door was locked and no one appeared when I rang what looked like a buzzer. It was dark and there was a photo on the door indicating that a sister property was 100 metres away. I could not find the other property based on the photo provided. I eventually found it after wondering down the wrong streets. The instructions on the door should have read to cross the intersection on the same street and on the same side of the street. In addition the advertisement should indicate this property does not have 24-hour reception and you may have to go to a nearby property. In addition an email should be sent at least 24 hours in advance advising of this along with explicit directions on how to find to the other property. And that reception will give you entry codes for the front door and your room. The room itself was very small with 8-10 inches for walking at the foot of the bed and about 12-18 inches on the sides of the bed. The bathroom was very small with a tiny sink and almost no room on the vanity. The shower was a decent size. I had to walk up 2.5 narrow flights of stairs and this could be an issue if you have limited mobility or carrying luggage. The room was clean

Budget hotel, close to beach and restaurants

I did not know that you had to check in at another address 100 meters away. Not a big deal, but with many bags, it was cumbersome, especially needing to go across tram lines. Would be nice to have water bottles replenished each day.
