This is my utmost pleasure to review about this gem of a hotel in Prague quarter where I grew up. I stayed in Mama Shelter in April 2025 for more than a week and every day was a joy to return to the hotel after a long day out and about. The reception is open 24 hours and Mr. Matěj, who was checking me in was very friendly, kind and efficient. I was also lucky that he was checking me out at my departure. The room cleaning was absolutely immaculate and regular every day, and the bed and bedding had a luxurious feel. The room was very quiet and you didn't hear any commotions/noise from neighbouring rooms. The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect and central and get you quickly to every part of Prague. My sincere thank you to all cleaning ladies, to all staff and to Mr. Matěj at the reception to make my stay so special. I certainly will be coming again, hopefully soon!

Top Mama

Stayed for Prague half marathon. Room was really spacious and I was able to work during the day with plenty of comfort. Rest of hotel was excellent. Lots of interactive gaming and facilities. I’d come back with my family. Also there is a tram directly outside so whilst a little way from the tourist hotspots this made them easily accessible.

We stayed at Mama’s Shelter in Prague for my wife’s birthday, and the experience was absolutely amazing. The hotel went above and beyond to make the occasion special and memorable for her. Loved my stay at Mama Shelter Prague! The rooms were super nice and clean, with plenty of space. The shower was amazing, and the beds were so comfy—I slept like a baby. The staff were incredibly friendly and always helpful, making everything so easy. Highly recommend staying here! Also I loved the quirkiness of the hotel and the decor. Would definitely recommend.

It is 10minutes by tram away from the old town and the tram is right in front of the hotel - even a transport ticket machine is in the entrance of the place. The grocery and gym are next door in a shopping centre for those interested, and the breakfast is standard good with extra czech desserts - i wish they had oatmeal more often - it disappeared after the 4th breakfast I had there- the coffee machine is excellent - and the front desk staff are young and kind - the place smells pleasant and is being cleaned often- will definitely stay here again - it is quirky, chill, and eclectic.

Love the place, foods is really do recommend the hotel restaurant and bars, breakfast selection is really good and lovely too, good friendly staff and good location not too far from the old town with 30 minutes walk if you fancy walking around and see Prague or 10 minutes by trams which is right outside the hotel too.
