Completely Remodeled to the studs! New Kitchen Countertops, Cabinets, Wood Plank Floors, Sparkly New Bathroom, 2 Bedrooms, Laundry Room, Patio, and BBQ with Towering Elms, Aspens and Cottonwoods! The Hummingbirds and Finches love it and so will you! If booked, check out our other Properties at #883663 and a Log Cabin at #889880! 



The Serta Master Bed is firm and lofty with allergen-free pillows, pillow covers and Cotton Bedding. Leather Sofas in the Living Room and Two Rocker-Recliners add comfort for TV watching or reading. There is high-speed internet and Wi-Fi. Gorgeous Countertops are in the Kitchen and the new Pine Cabinets are filled with bakeware and serving ware. We have air conditioning for the times when the mountain air isn't enough. 



If the Casita is booked please visit our two other properties: A Sparkling Cottage #88663 and an Authentic 1 Bedroom Log Cabin - #889880. Pets are only allowed with Permission by Owner. 



Birds and wildlife visit the Casita and the property regularly so you'll see lots of hummingbirds, goldfinches, spotted towhees, white-breasted nuthatches, juniper titmice, ravens and lately a kestrel, when the ravens don't chase it away! We've just added an owl box and a bat box to the property! The javelina come through about every other night, plus we've seen a coyote and raccoons. 



We are located 1.6 miles from downtown in a neighborhood down a long lane on 1.25 acres. There is a meadow and Miller Creek, when it is running. Fry's grocery store is a couple blocks away. We are licensed, inspected and compliant with the City. We have fire extinguishers, carbon monoxide detectors, smoke detectors and a first aid kit. Prescott has a Noise Ordinance from 10pm to 8am. We do not allow parties or events. Pets are allowed with permission, a signed Pet Agreement and a Pet Fee.

The hosts, Karen & Dave, were wonderful. We were greeted on our arrival with fresh flowers and a small welcome gift was in the fridge. The Casita is a wonderful place to stay - a perfect retreat to enjoy Prescott. Karen has filled the casita with all kinds of material about where to go and what to see in the local area. The casita is beautifully decorated, cozy, and has absolutely everythind you need to ensure we had a great stay. We will be back for a longer stay for sure!

The host David was wonderful! So helpful and accomodating. The Casita is a true home away from home! Everything you could want was there and even some things you didnt know you needed! What an amazing property! We visited in early october and the weather was lovely. Everything in the house was nice. We didn't like or realize it was so close to the road with lots of traffic. We were not left alone to enjoy the place to ourselves and there was no yard for our dogs (which we did know) but it still made the stay difficult for us.Other than that it was nice!

Hosts were great. Attentive and friendly. The place was clean, comfortable (the bed was very co. Great mattress and comfy sheets. Best of any VRBO so far. Not a complaint just a note for anyone tall or big is the space between the walls and the bed is very tight. Shower was hot and powerful. Patio and garden was nice. Kitchen was well equipped. We were delighted with the cottage for our 7 day stay in Sept. The description in the listing lives up to everything we found while there. Obvious quality in everything from furniture, linens, décor, and grounds. You can tell Dave has experience as a bldg contractor! Grounds are well lit at night and shaded by day. Creek is nice but seasonal. Easy access to downtown Prescott. Frys grocery close by. Cabin is well insulated from street noise and even the Yavapai County Fair nearby did not distrub us. Great hosts. Great value. Pet friendly. Already reserved our next trip!

Fantastic stay, owners great at thinking about the little things

Stayed with my partner and our dog. Owners did a great job communicating with us on check-in procedure and and went above and beyond with local hiking and food recommendations (food was incredible!). The cabin was cozy and we were impressed with the owners considerations of the small details. Would definitely visit again!

From start to finish, this VRBO experience was top-notch! The hosts were absolutely amazing—friendly, responsive, and thoughtful in every way. Communication was seamless, and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. The property itself was spotless, cozy, and incredibly inviting. The location couldn’t have been better—peaceful and tucked away, yet still close to everything I needed. The grounds were simply stunning, with beautiful landscaping and a magical little wooded area that felt like a hidden retreat with a lovely hammock to rest and relax in. The outdoor patio and grill were a major highlight. It was the perfect setup for enjoying meals outside and unwinding in the evening. One of the sweetest surprises was how welcoming the hosts were to my cat. Not only were they completely accommodating, but they even left a little cat toy for him—such a thoughtful touch that made me feel truly at home. I can't recommend this place highly enough. I will definitely be back!

Perfect location near downtown Prescott

We were in Prescott for my youngest child’s college graduation. And the casita was just right for us. It was close to everything we needed to get to, had all the confits of home and so many thoughtful special details to make our stay extra comfortable. We loved every day we got to spend there and would highly recommend a stay at Karen and Dave’s quiet little oasis near the town center.
