Disliked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities
The room I ordered in the reservation with kitchenette was not available when I arrived, after 10 hours on the road. I was offered a very small substandard wheelchair unit with no kitchenette. I was too tired to argue, and it would not be the attendants fault as to what went wrong. I took the room, which had a peculiar smell upon opening the door. I left a note for the room attendant next morning to disinfect the washroom/toilet and clean the microwave. When I returned from my day @ 2pm, the room attendant was cleaning the next room, after just finishing mine. She joined me to inspect my room and it smelled of clean. She mentioned that the previous occupant had left a bit of a mess.
This motel appears more geared to serve commercial and transient clientele, than tourists or families. It claims to be pet friendly, but fails to remind guests not to leave their pets unattended!! It claims that its property is very safe and heavily monitored, but there was evidence of a recently smashed windshield within the huge parking area. On the morning of my departure, I found a distinct scratchmark left on my tailgate and cigarette butts outside my suite door.
I'll shortcut with a comment about the suite door, an oversize one to allow for wheelchairs. Even when the door was bolt locked, sunlight was coming through the door seals top, side, and bottom! A few little ants came into the suite.
