We had a nice holiday break here, but I wouldn’t return. On the positive: large, clean rooms; lots of loungers around the pools; upbeat entertainment staff at main pool in the day. We have stayed at several all-inclusives in Cancun area and DR, including Margaritaville in Cap Cana, so I have some perspective. This resort was by far the worst for food and dining choices. We arrived at 3:30 pm,and were told all restaurants must be booked with concierge, but they leave at 3pm. In order to book with concierge the next day, you have to go through the Prestige sales pitch. We couldn’t get steakhouse booking, but were told Frank & Lola’s would have special Christmas menu, but it was a repeat of previous night’s regular menu. Dinner at buffet was just a weird collection of foods, nothing particularly good, except Christmas Eve had some nice displays and a carving station, plus a cute show with dancing, singing, and an acrobats. DR Landshark had 4 brews on tap, but this location seemed to always be out and just offering the lager. Lobby bar offered some nice drinks, but service was hit or miss, with staff on phones or chatting up girls. Service at swim up bars was more consistent. (And yes, I tip consistently.) We knew there was no beach, but we took uber into Puerto Morelos and spent a day at Unico Beach Club. The coffee shop was nice, but we used hardly any points in the store because I would usually buy a bottle of rum for room for a nightcap, but liquor is no longer included. 7/10
