Arrived at the hotel to find out that the kids pool area is closed (and will be closed for a longer period). This area was the main reason we booked this hotel because we have a 3 year old that loves pool and slides. There’s a construction going on by the kids play area, hotel is expanding, additional buildings are in the making right by so for safety reason the kids pool/play area was closed but I would expect the hotel to inform coming guests about things like this. Manager Efren ignored the issue, I asked to get daily passes to a close by waterpark, that request was rejected. Hotel also rejected partial refund so we could cover the daily waterpark passes ourselves, instead they offered extra activities for my child such as face painting…wow…I don't mean to be sarcastic but really? Face painting instead of access to a waterpark? This ruined our whole trip. Many other families complained about this issue too. No one received any solution - just excuses and ignorance. We will not go back. For the price we paid I would expect some level of care and more importantly - I would expect to receive information about essential amenities being closed. Other cons - most pools were dirty/muddy, pieces of wood floating; food way below average especially for the price you pay, baby and husband got food poisoning and vomiting for 2 nights, rooms were not clean, poor night entertainment Pros - nice beach, few friendly staff members

Please please stay away from this hotel. Please save your money, a lot more options out there, they’re renovating so they trying to save money on food, etc to build more rooms. They don’t have buffet open for dinner, we stayed for 8 nights. The same food every single day. Nothing for kids to eat but fries and chicken fingers, never fresh, always leftover, you can just tell because fries get soggy, chicken fingers hard from reheating. Kid’s pool was closed. We saw cockroach on our last day, we couldn’t even eat. One of the worker open our door even when we have do not disturb sign on. No enterrainment by the pool. Been to so many all inclusive, never complain. Been to RIU republica and it’s way cheaper than this hotel but they have way better food, better entertainment, better everything.

l DO NOT recommend this resort FOOD absolutely disgusting l spent majority of my trip throwing up l forgot to add one person on my reservation they charged me $500.00 to add ONE person to the reservation said the room came with a butler the butler must've been casper the ghost because they were imaginary the guy l previously spoke to told me they would decorate my room for my husband birthday FREE OF CHARGE soon as l checked in he was no where to be found and stopped responding to my messages of course they said they would honor it IF l paid $300.00 no clear signs on the resort to direct you to the restaurants l had a reservation at 7:30 one night after walking around the resort for twenty minutes with no sense of direction we finally found it to only be turned away cause we were late ALTHOUGH we couldn't find our way just so everyone is aware also incidentals are $500.00 and they have absolutely NOTHING to offer entertainment is to an absolute minimum on the adult side everything is located on the family side as an adult with no kids if l book an all inclusive adults only room l expect some events to happen on the adults only side not everyone wants to be surrounded by kids if l wanted to l would not have paid the extra money for a room on the adults only side ... l can go on and on about this resort long story short save your money!!!!

The resort was beautiful, clean, super friendly staff, lots of dining options and the beach was clean, no seaweed at all. The suite we had was big, updated, clean, very big comfy bed. I really liked this resort and will return again. I like how everyone was super friendly, and always trying to help and serve you. This is a big plus because that shows the quality of the service provided. The staff like to make sure we are happy and that our mini bar was always stocked. It's a big resort and lots of VIP options to upgrade if you prefer. What I also liked was that they were maintaining the property while we were there but they out of the way and it didn't interfere with our plans at all. The restaurants are pretty good, especially Brass the steakhouse. Lots of steaks to choose from, definitely the best restaurant in my opinion. The only thing I would say could be improved upon would be the food seasoning. They have a lot of food options but they just need to season the food a bit more to enhance the taste. Other than that minor improvement, this resort was too notch! Btw Gabriel, Miguel, Cindy who work the front desk are superb and customer service experts. Ambar who works the coffee shop if courteous, funny and falways smiling. Reyner in the buffet was always making sure we were happy and satisfied with the service and food. The staff here is wonderful, to be honest they all made the stay worth it and are the reason for our future return.
