We just went here with a group of 7 which includes 3 young children. None of us were overly impressed which I’ll summarize below why.
Cons:
-Cleanliness of the rooms is a big issue. Our friends found gross things from previous guests like acrylic finger nails, hairballs and used bandaids. We found hairballs and when we opened our pullout couch it was full of dust bunnies.
- our sons feet were also black from playing in one of the restaurants kids play area. It’s a nice feature to have that but it’s dirty
-Another issue is the room service food is pretty awful. Their club sandwich is the worst I’ve ever had at any resort. Chicken fingers dry and hard our kids wouldn’t even eat them. The room service pizza is also really bad and not the same that is served at the buffet.
-front desk service is slow! You shouldn’t have to stand there for 25 minutes to check out! 15 minutes to get a new room key card! They need more than 2 people working up there!
Overall the property is pretty nice. Beach is not great though it’s windy, murky water and too wavy at times with a lot of seaweed. The main buffet is pretty good but the hours restaurants open are too late for families with young kids. 7am for breakfast buffet, 6:30 for dinner at most places! Our youngest is up at 5:30am and ready for bed by 6:30 on vacation the heat gets to them. I definitely would not return and our whole group agreed.
