They are spending all their money on the Palladium Bavaro it seems! All seating in hotel is very poor with sunken in seats. All loungers on Beach are sagging and broken bar to recline falls off every time you use it. TV. cannot watch because picture freezes on a shot but the recording continues. No beach Bars open because or erosion to area and they have not replaced the Cement base you would stand on nor the steps leading down to the beach at the end of the walkway. Some of the beach Cabana's are tilted do you can not sit a drink on them and to be under one our chairs were on a slope due to the mass amount of sand piled up there. When we would see a Bar waiter to order a drink and by the time he got back a frozen drink was already quite melted, plus he was a long time making his rounds due to his having to go to the pool bar and get the drinks.
The Staff was great although you really need to speak Spanish to explain any special request to them. They only knew minimal English in restaurants and bar wait staff. If it weren't for Chayanne and Cesar our Concierges we would have had more problems.
Our room was clean but needed more hangers which Chayanne was finally able to get me. All food was good but that which was prepared ahead was not warm like the warming trays were not working, even the ham sliced right off the bone was not warm same for the chicken etc.
But we did enjoy the mass selections.
