STAY HERE!!!!!! The hotel is clean and very beautiful. ALL of the staff were amazing and Joanna the beautiful receptionist was so accommodating and sweet. Expedia made so many mistakes with my booking that they refused to fix and I was traveling with my baby girl and was extremely scared but Joanna made sure I was okay and I cannot thank her enough! This hotel is located next to all the best things to do! It’s right down the street from Yeya’s Dominican restaurant which has the best food I’ve tasted while I was there. Please go and make sure you tip the staff!!! Trust me they ALL deserve it. This will be my home away from home whenever I’m in Punta Cana

The staff was great, the room was clean. My water went out the one night, so I had no water in my room from about 7p until I was going to sleep. They did get it back on, but that was a little stressful because I couldn't use the sink / toilet / shower and had no idea when it would be back on. This was not an all inclusive, and I ate lunch there twice and dinner once, and it really wasn't great. I was hoping to just relax and not leave the property, but i had to go out because the food just wasn't good.

Our stay at HM Bávaro was truly amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with drinks and fresh fruit, and throughout our stay, the staff even refilled our wine and fruit twice — so thoughtful and accommodating. The team went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. I especially want to mention Johanny, Noemi, and Alejandro (staff at Whala) for being so helpful and kind. The food was excellent — from the continental breakfast to the delicious meals at Tamashi (Japanese) and Anima (Italian) restaurants. The beach view was stunning, and we loved relaxing at the rooftop pool. On lazy days, the indoor pool was the perfect retreat. The only small thing I’d mention is that the bathroom could be a bit bigger, as water sometimes splashed onto the floor near the bed when showering. But overall, this hotel delivered an outstanding experience, and if we come back, I will surely pick this hotel again.

Beachfront: There is a guest designated beach area with seats and umbrellas that is well-regulated by security. No panhandlers. Room: I had an unobstructed ocean view with balcony. Bed was comfy. Blackout curtains. A/c but couldn’t adjust vents and had noticeable mold. Balcony retained water on rainy days due to no drainage. Balcony has a towel/bathing suit drying rack. Decor: newer but IKEA grade. Bathroom: tiny. Pools: rooftop and main floor. Bars at each. There is pick for a lot of excursions just next door to the hotel. Cons: Room service was terrible. Called the hotel. The told me to call the restaurant. Restaurant said they would send someone to my room to take my order. Nobody showed up. Silly system. There is a beach bar next door that bumps loud music into the late evening hours. There is a market and there are some restaurants nearby but they are packed and often there is a line down the street. There are no sidewalks and the roads are terrible especially when flooded from rain. My biggest complaint was that the hotel wanted to fumigate my room during my stay. Thankfully I was in my room when they came by to do it so I could turn them away but this was inappropriate and unsafe in my opinion.
