I rate Serenade 3.75 stars. The resort was nice, but even though it's only 2.5 years old, it needs a lot of touch-ups and repairs already. Many things were either looking rough, or not even working. The water therapy treatment in their spa only had about 50% of the items working. Hot tubs were not warm and jets didn't work. All over the resort little things were not working properly. That takes us from 5 stars to 4.5 stars. Then there was the "Elite" package. When we made our reservation, everything the resort had to offer was included with the price of our swim out rooms. Then several months later they created the Elite package and took away several things like top shelf drinks, a swimming pool, food items... when we got there we explained the situation but they said there was nothing they could do. Only after 2 days of staying persistent, and nicely insisting that they honor our original reservations or refund us the difference in cost, did they finally grant our group of 20 guests the Elite status that we were to originally receive. Here's the problem... even after that, every bar ran out of top shelf liquor and restaurants didn't have the Elite menu items. So even after all of that, we still didnt get what we were supposed to have. The only "Elite" part of our trip was the Elite pool, but service there was terrible. We took turns going to another pool/bar, ordering drinks, and bringing them back to the Elite pool. And yes, we tipped very well so that was not the problem.

We stayed on the adults-only all-suite side and honestly, it didn’t feel worth it. There was nothing happening on the adults-only side. No entertainment at all. Everything, including the nightclub, late-night snack bar open until 2 a.m., the ATM, and all activities, was on the family side. At that point, it might as well just be a family resort. Room service ended at 9 p.m., even though the website says it’s available 24 hours. Our room was never stocked with water during the entire stay. I had to go down to reception the night before we left just to request it. The TV still displayed the previous guest’s name for our entire stay. We never received any snacks despite asking multiple times. Staff often acted irritated when we asked for basic things like towels, water, or napkins. The service felt mediocre, and it honestly felt like they were expecting tips without providing good service. For an all-inclusive resort, it was frustrating how often items on the menu were unavailable. We also saw roaches in the hallway, and the jacuzzi was dirty. Overall, very disappointing. We would not return.

Nothing about this resort was pleasing . Staff are not that friendly . It’s like they don’t want to be there. The app for the hotel is not user friendly and didn’t work half of the time. There were live roaches at the buffet . And buffet wasn’t that pleasing . The drinks are watered down like any all inclusive unless you find a good bartender . The entertainment was not entertaining .
Stray dogs everywhere . This is the sports bar restaurant.
