Our room smelled terribly. It had grease/fat smells (and also other) which we thought might be coming from a cafe kitchen in the building but later guessed they were from a previous guest. As reception had closed there was no way to address this problem so were left to sleep in a smelly room.

there’s a heater in the wardrobe !

Disappointing stay - Ramada is tired and grubby Still managed to charge a premium price for Franton Queenstown. Air Conditioning was broken as it was 3 months ago ( read other past reviews ) the excuse that the maintenance man had gone home for the day and I was told to there was a heater in the wardrobe (how convenient) the notice with the portable heater however must used sitting a a piece of wood and not directly on the carpet in case of scorching. Wouldn’t make any difference the carpet is well used, grubby and stained. No compensation or apology offered. This is certainly not your finest Marsden Group spend some money and refurbish !

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean and tidy. The parking was a bit hard as there wasn’t allocated parking for each room.

Food have enough options for after a long sport day. Supermarket and pharmacy also in the walk distance. Even if you want, you can go to airport by 15-20mins walk. Very convenient.

I had stayed here previously and was happy but this time was pretty average. The bedside lamp shade was at a drunken angle, I had to search for the remote which was under the sofa and there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher

Great hotel, laundry in suite was helpful

Stayed here in April 2025 with a friend. Was only here for one night prior to a flight out of Queenstown. Did not explore the area much, as we mostly just got the suite with laundry as we were half way done our trip. But the area was close (walking distance) to shopping and many food options. Room was spacious and clean. Shower was clean with good water pressure.
