Queenstown Lakes District Council will upgrade wastewater infrastructure on Robins Rd (where the hostel is located). Both lanes will be closed from Robins Rd up to Hamilton Rd (opposite the hostel) from mid-January to early April 2026. After Easter, traffic will switch to one lane until late May 2026. Vehicle access for affected properties will be via the northern end of Robins Rd (near Hamilton Rd). Work hours: Mon–Fri 7:30am–5:30pm, some Saturdays, and brief night works may occur.

Great location, just a few minutes' walk to the central shopping area and waterfront. Very friendly and helpful staff who did a good job of cleaning the property. Unfortunately, many of the guests did NOT clean up after themselves around the kitchens and showers.
