The cottage was sparkling clean and appears recently renovated, so everything was in pristine condition. The space is cozy, comfortable and the views are great. The outdoor space is incredible, with a screened porch along the back, an outdoor kitchen space, a fire pit overlooking the lake, and a huge upper deck over the lake and a lower boat/kayak dock. Our dog loved the ample outdoor space. Situated on a quiet cove, the lake was so serene and the water was clean and refreshing. We didn’t explore beyond the cove, due to time, but there are boat rentals nearby which we would definitely do on a return visit. The hot tub was a wonderful perk, very clean and brand new. WiFi works great, if you have to do any work as we did. Highly recommend, and hope to stay again.

We loved everything about this place... the amazing view from the private back screened-in porch, the deck, the quiet, the kayaks, the fire pit, the wind chimes, the grill, the amazing outdoor kitchen, the hot tub and fire table. Nespresso machine too. Comfortable and cozy yet plenty of space for a small family. Everything is new and clean. We'll be back next summer. The fall would also be an amazing time to visit. It is a perfect place for a private couple's getaway that has everything you want. And yet, there's plenty of outdoor spaces to entertain. Couldn't have asked for a better place on Claytor Lake.Thankful and feeling rested.
