The desk lamp did not work. The blinds did not go up nor down. They were frozen in place. I reported this problem when I checked in, but it was never fixed. I bought 2 hard-boiled eggs in the cafe. As soon as I stuck a fork in the egg it crumbled and water squirted out. Thankfully, the cashier gave me a refund for the eggs. On a brighter note, the bed was very comfortable.

Amazing stay! The Lodge at Duke Medical Center exceeded my expectations. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating from check-in to check-out. Everything was spotless and well-maintained, creating a very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The location couldn’t be better — just a short, easy walk to both the medical center and the academic campus. Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Duke!

The staff was amazing, the hotel was clean, bed was super comfortable. Many of the people who stay at this hotel have loved ones having procedures at Duke Medical Center, and it is a quiet, friendly place to rest after a stressful day.
